Books

Sandra Yeaman’s first book includes vignettes of her life during the 1977-1978 academic year when she taught English at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi, Romania. When a group of her former students reached out to let her know they were planning a reunion now that they had all retired, Sandra decided to pull together pieces she had previously written about that amazing year and created some new ones to illustrate how her year in Romania also impacted her family.

The result is a quick read of stories that will bring smiles and perhaps a few tears as the reader is immersed in the differences between American and Romania culture while still recognizing that more connects us than separates us.
